Shearing is the process of cutting flat metal products.  We can cut a variety of shapes and sizes.  Shearing allows for flat sheets and coils to be cut down into shorter sizes and lengths.

At Briggs Steel we can shear various gauges and thicknesses of mild steel and aluminum products.  We shear gauges ranging up to ten gauge.

The shearing process involves two blades being forced past each other to cut the material accurately.
